In the release poster, the beloved Doraemon gang, donning their classic prop, the Bamboo Copter, takes off alongside new friends from the planet Pirika - Papi, Pina, and the space dog Rokoroko. It's an image brimming with anticipation for an interstellar adventure, as if rushing towards a long-awaited reunion with its audience.
Based on the original manga by Fujiko F. Fujio, the story revolves around Nobita's encounter with the diminutive alien Papi and, with Doraemon's assistance, embarks on an interstellar adventure to protect Papi's home planet, Pirika.
Affected by the global pandemic, the film's initial 2021 release was delayed to 2022, yet it retains the "2021" in its title. Despite this postponement, the film remains a top contender in the industry. Following its successful early April premiere in Japan and impressive performance, the film's release date in China has now been confirmed.
Since 2015, OCE has been dedicated to promoting a Doraemon film annually, a tradition spanning eight years. This endeavor has fostered a special bond between Doraemon and mainland audiences. It's fair to say that Children's Day is incomplete without Doraemon. True to expectations and without disappointing its fans of all ages, Doraemon once again arrives on schedule to celebrate the festival with everyone!
