The Couple of Cuckoos manga series was nominated for the "Next Manga Award" in 2020, making it one of the final 100 works and securing the 14th position. In the following year, it achieved the 5th position in the "Recommended Manga by Bookstore Staff" for 2021.

The announcement of its anime adaptation coincided with the birthdays of the male and female protagonists on April 6th. Renowned voice actors such as Kaito Ishikawa, Akari Kitou, and Konomi Kohara have been cast in the series. 

During its first week of release in Taiwan, the total number of views surpassed 240,000, with an impressive rating of 4.9 out of 5.
