Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is adapted from the 1996 PS game "BIOHAZARD" released by the Japanese company Capcom, marking the pioneering zombie horror game. "BIOHAZARD" is the English translation for Baiohazado (the original Japanese name), but during its release in Europe and America, it encountered naming clashes with a music band. Consequently, it had to be renamed "Resident Evil" for these regions, while in Asia, it retained the name "BIOHAZARD." Additionally, these two names correspond to different scales: Western players are more accepting of bloodier visuals, leading to scenes in "Resident Evil" that may be more graphic than those in "BIOHAZARD."
